Here’s one fabulous hand crafted compact track. This track can easily be stored under a bed or sofa, behind or on top of a wardrobe.

For my slot car tracks, I use 12 to 18mm MDF as a minimum. The baseboards are glued and screwed. I mark out the course ensuring it has good flow. A guide fence is then positioned and nailed into place following the line of the course; this allows for the router to follow in a smooth manor. Once the groove has been cut out and cleaned, the MDF is primed before 2 top coats of paint are applied, followed by copper tape laying. The board is then framed and painted and the wiring connected along with a toggle switch to change direction creating 2 circuits for the price of 1.

Small layouts will have nylon feet attached to protect your surface and larger layouts will have folding legs.

This track is approximately 4ft x 2ft and comes complete with a car, transformer and throttle…..  oh and did I mention a toggle switch so you can drive in the opposite direction!😃
